Community Involvement

Fortress Technology’s employees have participated in many community events over the years, we enjoy working together to raise money that support great causes and helping out local sports teams in our community.

Ride for Heart

Congratulations to our first Ride for Heart Corporate Team! With 35 participants, they raised almost $9,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in 2016.

More than 66,000 Canadians die each year from heart disease and stroke – that’s one every seven minutes. Fortress’s team raised funds to support researchers across Canada who are working on breakthrough treatments that save lives and improve survivor recovery.

Ride to Conquer Cancer

Fortress supported Andrew Frei, Steve Gidman, Pierre DiGirolamo, Dominic Locas, and Phil Brown in the “Ride to Conquer Cancer”.

They cycled cover 200km, from Toronto to Niagara Falls, with thousands of other riders. All proceeds went to The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to support cancer research, treatment, and services. The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is Canada’s leading comprehensive institution devoted to cancer research and care, and the work they’re doing is leading edge.

Heart & Stroke Foundation Big Bike

Employees have ridden on the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s 29 seat Big Bike since 2007 and have raised over $17,000 to provide funding for heart disease and stroke research.
